There's at least one scene wherein they are describing driving along, feeling the summer breeze and it all suddenly clicked for me. Told from two point of views, Chase's and Rowan's. The thought wasn't expressed exactly the same way, but the short woman appears to be Chase's "type" as well. When Rowan closes her eyes and imagines her perfect woman, Chase pretty much appears in her mind's eye. Along the way the attraction between the women heats up. One thing leads to another, and they agree on having Chase be the co-driver. Finds Chase next to a rusted old beaten up truck and a very pregnant horse. Rowan decides to make a face-to-face explanation of her need to refuse the job. So, she's going to have to turn down the job she just got. Unfortunately she also just lost her co-driver to jail. But she won a bid to transport a horse back to the West Coast from South Carolina.

The part wherein they don't have anyone to pay the costs, since they aren't transporting a horse. The story opens with Rowan on the expensive leg of transporting horses. Chase being a horse trainer, Rowan being a horse transporter (or whatever word works best for someone who works transporting horses around the country). A sweet short work involving two women involved in the horse business.
